I’m James Gale, owner, and head Nutritionist of Rugged, and I’m inviting you to come on a journey with me. #reachyourpeak

​

It’s a journey centred around human potential and growth, dedicated to uncovering peak performance for both body and mind.Regardless of age, gender, body type, or background, every individual possesses the capacity for greatness.

 

As a society, we have become increasingly more sedentary and extremely less active. We are sicker as a whole with very high obesity rates and cardiovascular diseases.

 

But at Rugged, it is my mission to build a community of empowered, like-minded individuals who value their health, fitness, and wellbeing and who want to unlock their true potential mentally and physically.

 

My journey has been anything but ordinary.

 

Growing up without a father, living in foreign countries, and facing personal challenges from a young age, I’ve learned what it means to overcome adversity.

 

At just 17, I found myself living alone in a foreign country, struggling to survive in the ghetto, and often going without food. But through these challenges, I discovered the power of grit, determination, and resilience.My passion for health and fitness grew from my own struggles.

 

As an entrepreneur, nutritionist, and mental health advocate, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others unlock their true potential.In 2014, I founded Core Health Bar, a cafe-come-restaurant dedicated to making healthier food choices more accessible. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, I didn’t let setbacks hold me back.

 

In 2020, I qualified as an evidence-based nutritionist and continued my work as a PT and nutritionist, helping people achieve their health and fitness goals.But my journey doesn’t stop there.

 

In 2023, I founded Rugged, a lifestyle and nutrition company with a mission to help people unlock their true potential, both mentally and physically.At Rugged, we believe in the power of mindset, nutrition, fitness, and the healing effects of the great outdoors.

 

The 3 key foundational pillars that are essential so we can reach new levels of achievement for both body and mind are:
